We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and passionate individual to delivery Football Education as part of the Manchester City FC (MCFC) Football Schools in Perth, Australia. 

 

Working closely with the Head Coach, our coaches are our brand representatives and responsible for the high-quality delivery of the Manchester City coaching philosophy, methodology and principles which are incorporated into all of our programs across different venues. 

 

This role is offered on part time basis, offering up to 30 hours per week. 

 

Your Impact

  1. To ensure the Manchester City coaching philosophy, methodology and principles are incorporated into the delivery of the programs across different venues within Perth, Australia.
  2. To plan, prepare and deliver the city play model curriculum to the highest standard to the participants within the program.
  3. To support the Head Coach in ensuring the program is delivered to the highest possible standards within both on and off field environments.
  4. To be responsible for the written and verbal communication with parents/customers of the players (Point person for parent communication registers, session timings and answering parent queries) 
  5. To complete term and player reports liaising with the Coach Delivery manager in ensuring the QA of the program
  6. To learn, develop and implement their understanding of the program and coaching techniques through continuous professional development (Self reflecting on performance and Development)
  7. To take on any duties from the Head Coach to support the development of the program (practical delivery and administration where necessary)

What we are looking for

Essential

  • Coaching License (UEFA C)
  • Additional awards or education in football development
  • Higher Education Qualifications or working towards 
  • The ability to create a positive working environment that represents Manchester City, through positive interaction and professional standards at all venues
  • To have the ability to self-reflect, be a lifelong learner whilst training and developing themselves
  • To be able to prepare and record information on documents to support the administration of individual programs
  • To have the ability to solve problems, recommend options and be creative when suggesting future development of programs
  • To take on additional off field duties and responsibilities while ensuring the completion and quality is of the standard required
  • To demonstrate potential leadership qualities such as: clear communication, delegation and relationship building
  • To develop an understanding of player pathways and to develop what's required for the process of individual players
  • To have the ability to organise and develop the different types of football programs
  • To have experience in creating a positive football environment that will represent Manchester City
  • To have experience implementing a football coaching syllabus in the community, recreation or junior programs
  • To have a basic understanding of player pathways and the development process of players.
  • To have experience working with players from different age groups within grass roots programs
  • To have a basic knowledge and experience in how to develop all ability levels of players
  • Ability to present both on and off the field
