The role

Are you a Football Coach located in the GCC looking for a career move to help you reach your potential?

Here at Manchester City FC, we’ll be holding our first ever recruitment day in Muscat, Oman, allowing talented coaches in the GCC region to come and meet the team, demonstrate your coaching ability and hopefully join our team on our UAE programme.

We have upcoming opportunities for Football Coaches, community coaches and Assistant Head Coaches in Abu Dhabi & Dubai.

You’ll need a L2/UEFA C qualification (minimum), great communication skills and a desire to learn and improve. Check out our ‘find out more’ section below for more information on what you’ll do as a Manchester City FC coach.

Your Impact

• Ensure all the City Football Group coaching philosophies, methodology and principles are incorporated into the delivery of the program
• Support the lead staff pre, during and post delivery
• Support the wider team with reviewing deliveries and making suggestions to better the program
• Work both individually and collectively as part of a team in ensuring the project is delivered to the required levels and expectations
• Support the City Football Middle East office with local and regional activations
• Organise, structure and deliver the coaching program in a standard that represents Manchester City
• Maintain professional conduct always in both on and off field environments

What we're looking for

Essential

• FA Level 2 / UEFA C minimum
• Member of a FA to maintain their Coach License or International equivalent
• Education in sports coaching or teaching
• Post-holder must hold or obtain at the earliest opportunity the relevant safeguarding training (i.e. FA Safeguarding Children Workshop)
• Experience coaching in a football environment
• Proven experience working with players from varying backgrounds and cultures
• Experience implementing and developing a football coaching syllabus
• Demonstratable experience and knowledge of planning, delivering and reviewing sessions
• Knowledge and understanding of player development and the four-corner model
• Experience working within a professional Football Club or sporting organisation
• To have flexibility to travel when required to support projects both in the UK and Internationally
• Ability to create a positive working environment that represents Manchester City and the local partner in the marketplace
• To have the ability to evaluate and review programs on completion

Desirable

• To have worked within a school environment
• Education in sports coaching or teaching
• Experience working within a professional Football Club or sporting organisation
