Role Title: Senior Partnership Marketing Manager (MENA)

Reports to:Head of Partnership Marketing(APAC and MENA)

Role specific purpose:

Purpose:

Working closely with the Head of Partnership Marketing, the Senior Partnership Marketing Manager, MENA will be responsible for managing and maximising a segment of City Football Marketing’s (CFM) growing portfolio of partners, with a focus on, but not limited to, MENA. This remit includes all associated partnership planning and activation programmes. In doing so the Senior Partnership Marketing Manager will be required to lead a team and maximise performance at all levels. They will also be tasked with supporting the club’s wider marketing plans in key strategic markets.

Role specific accountabilities:

LINE MANAGEMENT OF (INITIALLY) TWO DIRECT REPORTS – supporting their day to day needs across their respective partner portfolios and their personal development

ENSURE BEST IN CLASS AND MAXIMUM EFFICIENCY STANDARDS OF CONTRACTED ASSETS AND CAMPAIGN ACTIVATION DELIVERY – internal and external relationships with senior personnel across varied departments alongside slick and accurate reporting into head of department and other relevant stakeholders

DEVELOP RENEWAL & UPSELL STRATEGY FOR RESPECTIVE PARTNER PORTFOLIO – working with partnership sales and other relevant departments to maximise commercial revenues and category efficiency

SUPPORT NEW BUSINESS EFFORTS THROUGH CREATIVITY, NETWORK, CASE STUDIES AND MEETING ATTENDANCE

DRIVE REGIONAL BUSINESS OBJECTIVES – in coordination with relevant departments such as club marketing, FRM, etc.

SUPPORT HEAD OF PARTNERSHIP MARKETING – across general team strategy, including wider targets, deliverables, cost efficiencies and structure

Role specific knowledge, skills and experience:

Essential

  • Outstanding knowledge of the global and regional football landscape
  • Experienced with football sponsorship contracts and rights packages, including title/presenting partner
  • Highly skilled in partner/client service
  • Strong knowledge of the regional landscape & culture
  • Strong team management experience
  • Strong digital literacy
  • Skilled digital management/consultancy
  • Highly competent in standard Microsoft programs
  • Strong team ethic and collaborative nature
  • Confident managing multiple senior stakeholders and building relationships at all levels
  • Advanced leadership skills with the ability to build and lead high-performing teams
  • Flexible working attitude within a dynamic Club environment
  • Strong digital expertise and experience, preferably within sports media/advertising
  • Highly experienced/capable across all aspects of marketing and sponsorship, including:
    • Strategy & Planning
    • Activation & Rights Delivery
    • Integrated communications
    • Results Analysis & recommendations
    • Negotiations & renewals
    • Budgeting & cost efficiencies
  • Absolute confidence/familiarity with football sponsorship contracts and rights packages
  • Stand-out skills in all aspects of partner/client service

Desirable:

  • Competence in additional language
  • Experience working across APAC/MENA territories
