The Opportunity

 

We are excited to announce a newly created role for a Partnerships Sales Support Executive to join our dynamic City Football Marketing team. This position is a key part of our efforts to secure new global and regional partners for all City Football Group properties, with a particular focus on Manchester City FC Men’s and Women’s teams.

 

This hybrid-working role will be based in our London office, King’s Cross. You will play an integral role in supporting the department’s continued growth by providing market intelligence, tracking performance, assisting in new business projects, and managing day-to-day administrative tasks. This role is essential in driving efficiencies across global teams and supporting new sales targets.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  1.  Sales Research and Outreach

    • Support on sales outreach for regional heads and VP of Sales through research and insights 

    • Deliver key insights from the sports, football, and entertainment industries to inform sales strategies.

    • Track market trends and engagement levels across key regions to identify new business opportunities.

    • Compile data on CFG clubs, leagues, and relevant sponsorship deals to support the development of sales materials and presentations.

    • Present findings to the sales leadership team to uncover new partnership opportunities.

  2. Database & Market Intelligence Management

    • Work closely with Partnership Intelligence team to maintain and update a comprehensive database with market information, including categories, companies, countries, and sponsorship deals.

    • Analyse competitor sponsorship portfolios and industry trends to identify trends and opportunities.

    • Regularly produce reports and newsletters to keep key stakeholders informed about market developments.

  3. Tracking & Reporting of Sales Performance

    • Track key performance metrics to ensure sales targets and deadlines are consistently met.

    • Prepare detailed reports for senior management, summarising progress and performance for internal and external meetings.

    • Continuously review and refine processes and tools to improve efficiency and team performance.

  4. Sales Team Support & Outreach

    • Work closely with the global sales team to identify and track sales targets, with support from senior leadership.

    • Assist in preparing sales materials, presentations, and outreach strategies to engage new partners.

    • Coordinate travel logistics for business meetings, including bookings and arrangements.

    • Support the EMEA team in organising Manchester City home fixture events, ensuring all requirements are met.

  5. Financial & Administrative Support

    • Handle various administrative tasks such as PA requests, gift coordination, and meeting arrangements for the Partnerships team.

    • Oversee the deal sheet approval process and liaise with legal, finance, and other departments as necessary.

 

Required Skills & Experience:

 

  • A strong interest in the sports industry, competitive intelligence, market research, and sponsorship sales.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).

  • Strong analytical, numerical, and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • A proactive, results-driven mindset, with the ability to work independently.

 

Desirable Experience:

 

  • Previous experience in sponsorship sales or sports marketing.

  • Experience working with sports properties, agencies, or brands in a commercial capacity.

  • Exposure to global sports marketing, particularly in multicultural environments.

  • A degree in Business, Economics, International Marketing, Sports Management, or a related field.
