As a Senior Planner, you’ll be at the heart of our strategic thinking — translating audience, cultural and brand insights into powerful ideas that inspire creative excellence and deliver measurable impact. You’ll work closely with our creative, strategy and production teams to shape campaigns that resonate with fans and partners alike, helping City Studios continue to set the standard in sports marketing and branded content.

Your Impact

  1. Lead the development of campaign strategies, using cultural, audience and brand insights to shape impactful creative platforms for our partners.
  2. Act as a strategic partner to clients, deeply understanding their business and marketing goals, and ensuring these inform and elevate our creative responses.
  3. Translate complex data and trends into clear, compelling narratives that inspire creative teams and influence partner decision-making.
  4. Collaborate across teams — including creative, production, partnerships and activation — to ensure strategies are integrated, effective and commercially sound.
  5. Deliver strategic recommendations and presentations to senior stakeholders and partners, building confidence and alignment around proposed approaches.
  6. Guide campaign measurement and evaluation, ensuring insights are captured and applied to strengthen future work.
  7. Champion best-in-class thinking, staying ahead of cultural, sporting and media trends and embedding them into the agency’s strategic approach.

 

What we are looking for

  • 5+ years’ experience in strategy or content planning roles, working with global brands across integrated campaigns.
  • Extensive client-facing experience, with the confidence to build strong relationships and champion strategic thinking.
  • Cross-functional expertise, collaborating with creatives, project managers, content creators, and social teams to deliver joined-up, effective work.
  •  Deep understanding of audiences and social platforms, with the ability to translate insights into meaningful creative direction.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, able to craft and deliver compelling narratives that bring strategic thinking to life.
  • Visually engaging storytelling, with a knack for producing presentations that excite and inspire both colleagues and clients.
  • Hands-on experience with social formats and platforms, and a solid grasp of the content creation and production process.
