Manchester City Football Club’s Performance Services aim to create engaging performance environments that maximise team and individual potential. This post will contribute to MCWFC success by providing high level physiotherapy support to MCWFC Academy players in line with the MCWFC Medical Team approach and aligned to MCWFC Performance Services Strategy.

Role specific accountabilities: |
||
1 |
As a key member of the MCWFC Physiotherapy team & MCWFC Academy MDT, be responsible for the ongoing planning, delivery, and review of Physiotherapy support to MCWFC Academy Teams/players in line with the MCWFC Performance Services Strategy. |

2 |
Provide ongoing delivery of evidence-informed rehabilitation/return to play programmes that minimises time lost to injury and minimises chances of re-injury for MCWFC Academy Players |

3 |
Deliver a proactive approach to injury management for MCWFC Academy players, working closely with the MCWFC Doctor as appropriate. |
|
4 |
Working in partnership with MCWFC Physical Performance practitioners, develop proactive approaches to injury risk reduction in line with the MCWFC Performance Services strategy |

5 |
Reporting to the MCWFC Lead Physiotherapist, manage the use of contractors to support ongoing injury prevention, injury management, and pitch side cover for training/matches |
|
6 |
Provide matchday physiotherapy support to Academy squads as required. |
|
7 |
With support of the MCWFC Lead Physiotherapist, ensure ongoing best-practice injury surveillance is adhered to, contributing to consistent reporting to key stakeholders. |

Ensure communication is proactive, timely and consistent to all relevant stakeholders in line with delivering a high-level physiotherapy support service. |
|
9 |
Ensure excellent standards of clinical governance including contributing to databasing, record keeping, and injury /illness auditing across MCWFC medical services in a consistent and timely fashion. |
|
