Department: FRM – Fan Relationship Management


Purpose: Fan Relationship Management is central to City Football Marketing’s global growth plan. The FRM team’s primary goal is to build fan loyalty, growth and monetisation across all territories through understanding of their behaviours and needs.

This is a hybrid role, working on data analytics projects whilst applying software engineering best practices like version control and CI/CD to ensure datasets and pipelines are well maintained. Working in a challenging and dynamic environment where your analysis will facilitate key business decisions and influence marketing strategies.

Accountabilities with Key Outcomes: 



Working with various stakeholders on projects to analyse fan behaviour in the offline and digital worlds and understand their preferences for content and products in order to optimise fan acquisition strategies and streamline customer journeys


Monitoring pipelines in Azure Data Factory (ADF) to ensure these are running efficiently, identifying any errors to resolve issues


Involved in profiling, segmentations or building propensity models as well as analysing content that drives engagement


Aid in releases to production, involving multiple dependant pipelines that require manual notebook runs and amending ADF triggers


Responsible for building and maintaining datasets and monitoring our Business Intelligence Platform

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:  



  • Comfortable in writing code and efficiently working with large datasets
  • Ability to use high-level scripting language (e.g. Python, PySpark, R) and data query language (SQL or similar) on a daily basis
  • Knowledge of modern SW development principles (DevOps, CI/CD, MLOps)
  • Experience with software engineering best practices like version control and CI/CD across environments
  • Experience with enterprise cloud services (especially Microsoft Azure)



  • Experience with digital marketing or CRM tools and platforms
  • Consulting mindset, i.e. ability to guide business stakeholders through analytical insights to drive business value
  • Experience with agile development methodologies
  • Understands Machine Learning techniques and concepts
