Casual Football Coach - Manchester City Football Education

Based at City Football Academy in Manchester, this casual role offers the chance to support Manchester City Football Education by delivering high-quality coaching sessions for players of diverse ages and abilities. You will help create a positive, organised and development-focused environment while building your experience with support from senior coaches.

The Role

 

In this casual coaching role, you will support the preparation, delivery and review of sessions aligned to the Manchester City coaching curriculum and methodology. You will work with players of different ages and abilities, helping to create an environment that is welcoming, professional and focused on development.

 

You will deliver sessions across weekends, evenings and school holidays, while receiving mentoring and training that supports your own growth as a coach. You will also contribute to quality assurance by maintaining high standards of delivery, communication and session preparation.

 

This is a role for those who enjoy working independently and as part of a wider coaching team, with a clear focus on positive player experiences, consistency and professional conduct. You will act as a positive role model and ambassador for Manchester City, helping to ensure players, parents and colleagues receive a high-quality experience at every session.

 

What You’ll Bring

 

Minimum UEFA C or equivalent coaching qualification
Experience coaching in education, community or club settings
A relevant higher education qualification, or equivalent professional experience
Commitment to ongoing CPD, including safeguarding awareness and DBS compliance
Clear and effective communication skills with players, parents, coaches and stakeholders
Proven ability to plan, deliver and review coaching sessions that support player development across age groups
