Our catering team is looking for a Catering Assistant (Front of House) to be based at the city football academy.

 

The Catering Assistant role is an integral part of the catering team and provides a professional, friendly and efficient service to the Academy and support staff at all times. You will be required to provide exceptional catering support, maintaining a clean and presentable food and catering service area at all times ensuring the highest level of standard is maintained.

 

Please note this is a part time opportunity that will require working 22.5 hours per week, across different shift patterns including cover between: 7am-3pm and 12:30pm-8:30pm. This role includes weekend working. Opportunities to work overtime will be available.

Your Impact

 

1. To prepare the MCFC refectory and/or the Parents Lounge for opening, breakfast, lunch and dinner (where provided) on a daily basis to the required standard.

2. To provide an efficient and effective service to customers, understanding their needs and requirements, working to exceed these wherever possible.

3. To assist where required in the serving of food and drinks ensuring correct portion control.

4. To provide a first-class service for all internal and external events

5. To be confident with lone working where required and work as part of a team to deliver outstanding services.

6. To ensure all health and safety standards are maintained and all company policies are adhered too, particularly in respect of food safety.


What we are looking for

 

Essential

 

  • Proven experience in a catering or hospitality environment
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Excellent customer care skills. Ability to work under own initiative or as part of a team
  • The ability to adapt in a fast paced and changing environment.

 

 

Desirable

 

  • A good understanding of best practise when handling or storing food.
  • Relevant food safety certificates
