At City Football Group we are looking for a Finance Manager- Entertainment to join us in our Manchester office.

 

The role

 

We have a new exciting opportunity for a Finance Manager – Entertainment to play a pivotal role in supporting the financial performance and strategic direction of Manchester City’s expanding entertainment portfolio.

 

This role will provide strategic financial partnership across a diverse range of businesses, including our exciting entertainment ventures . You will ensure strong governance, robust planning, and clear commercial insight as we continue to grow our world-class entertainment offering.

 

Working closely with senior stakeholders across Finance and Corporate Services, you will lead financial planning, forecasting, analysis, and reporting across the entertainment portfolio. You will own the monthly reporting cycle, ensuring accurate and timely insights that support decision-making and drive the achievement of EBITDA targets, while maintaining strong financial controls and supporting effective performance management.

 

You will bring proven experience operating in commercially driven environments, ideally within hospitality, entertainment, or visitor attraction industries. A strong understanding of financial performance management, stakeholder engagement, and multi-site or multi-entity operations will be key. Your ability to translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insight will support confident decision-making and enable continuous improvement across the portfolio.

 

You will act as a key finance partner to multiple business areas, building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. In addition, you will lead budgeting and forecasting processes, support corrective action planning.

 

Created as part of a strategic evolution of the Finance team during a period of growth, this role offers a unique opportunity to shape the financial management of a dynamic and expanding entertainment portfolio within one of the world’s most innovative and ambitious sports organisations. Whilst combining strategic oversight with hands-on leadership, you will be a proven leader.

 

What we are looking for

 

  • Professionally qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Experience operating in fast-paced, commercially driven environments such as hospitality, entertainment, sport, or related sectors.
  • Proven experience delivering financial analysis, reporting, budgeting, and forecasting to support business performance.
  • Strong analytical and financial modelling capability, with advanced Excel skills and the ability to present insights clearly to senior stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with a track record of building trusted relationships across functions and partners.
  • Proactive and collaborative leader, able to drive change, prioritise effectively, and deliver high-quality outputs in an evolving environment.
