Role specific purpose:
Purpose: *Please note as part of this application you will to attach details of your Tableau Public Profile or any relevant tableau related portfolio.* At City Football Group, our Football Intelligence team have over 20 years of experience delivering actionable insights to practitioners in football clubs and governing bodies across the world. Through ongoing investment in our people, data, technology & processes we strive to continually support the CFG clubs in making better football decisions, faster. The successful candidate will support in the delivery of our Football Intelligence services across Talent Management at our City Football Group clubs. This support will primarily be focused on: High quality, reliable and insightful visual analytics Scoping, developing & maintaining engaging tools which reduce time to insight Educating and upskilling the analytical capabilities of football staff .
Role specific accountabilities:
1	Play a key role in the development of our proprietary insights platform, delivering analytical insights across City Football Group.
2	Development of insightful tools & clear visuals to provide analytical support to CFG clubs with the aim of developing the quality and value of our players and teams.
3	Play a key role in developing of our intelligence & processes across Talent and Player Transactions as well as having a positive impact in driving excellence at CFG clubs.
4	Provide analytical reviews/audits of all CFG clubs from a talent and performance perspective; providing recommendations for interventions, squad planning and building.
5	Play a key role in the development of our proprietary insights platform, delivering analytical insights across City Football Group.
Role specific knowledge, skills and experience:
Essential: Very strong expertise in utilising Tableau to drive actions & decision making. Experience in beautifully displaying & engaging with accounting/finance data. Ability to evidence skills in scoping, developing & delivering clear, beautiful visual analytics tools. Insatiable curiosity, imagination and creativity to come up with ideas to tackle football performance challenges and design/implement cutting edge solutions. Evidence of working with, deriving & clearly communicating actionable insights from football data, either as a hobby or within previous employment. Creative problem solver with the drive and discipline to learn and develop new skills. Ability to work in an agile manner suited to the innovative & fast-paced nature of the football industry. Ability to work with our Football Intelligence team to understand the performance challenges faced by our clubs and create strategies that deliver positive interventions.		Desirable: Experience working and communicating in the sporting environment. Experience working with both structured and unstructured data-sources. Experience with SQL Some experience in Python, R or other programming language. Experience with data pipeline and workflow management tools such as Azure Data Factory, AWS data pipelines etc. Written & verbal fluency Spanish and/or French Experience with Azure, AWS or GCP cloud services or equivalent.
