This role will be responsible for the day-to-day operational delivery of Laundry services by the Laundry Team, to support the operation of Manchester City Football Club whilst ensuring the highest standards of safety and service is maintained at all times.

Organising and supervising the team to ensure the daily operation is correctly resourced and managed, ensuring that any issues brought to attention by staff are dealt with effectively and swiftly.

Your Impact

  1. Provide operational delivery of Laundry services for all football squad, training and matchday apparel along with any other business needs from other parts of the campus when required.
  2. Coordinating the day-to-day activities and outputs of the Laundry Team, ensuring delivery to time, cost and quality standards. Schedule and allocate tasks to ensure efficient workflow, conducting regular team meetings to communicate key information, updates and address any issues. Proactively dealing with day-to-day operational issues to ensure the service is run promptly and efficiently.
  3. Develop and maintain shift/rota patterns for the Laundry Team, ensuring that the team always has suitable resource cover throughout the season and during periods of staff holidays. To provide a first-class service for all internal and external events.
  4. Ensuring the correct upkeep and maintenance of all machines and equipment within the Laundry department, arranging for any repairs as may be needed 
  5. Ensuring Health and Safety standards are met and observed by the team, ensuring the Laundry area is clean, organised and free from hazards
  6. Oversee the responsibility for ordering of all Laundry sundries, monitoring and managing inventory levels of supplies and equipment. Conduct regular inventory check and maintain accurate records, escalation to budget holder where required for any cost-related decisions
  7. Ensure that all laundry budgets are adhered to, identifying opportunities for cost efficiencies wherever possible

 

What we are looking for

Essential

  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Ability to plan effectively and work under pressure, delivering against fixed deadlines.
  • Proven experience of working in the laundry industry or a similar role
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to quality
  • Cost conscious
  • To be able to adapt in a football environment.
  • Ability to work flexibly on a shift pattern
  • Strong communication skills
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels

Desirable

  • Recognised First Aid Qualification
  • PC & Digital Skills
