Purpose: We are looking for a Marketing Graphic Designer to work alongside the Design team to create engaging and on-brand graphics for a variety of media, specialising in graphics for performance marketing channels. You will be responsible for day-to-day output across our owned and operated channels, including email, web, app, social media and digital display ads, as well as supporting the wider Design team on larger cross-channel projects.
As a Graphic Designer, you will primarily be responsible for creating graphics using Adobe Creative Cloud. This is a role for a creative individual willing to collaborate within a team environment, getting involved in every stage in the creative process, from concept to output.
The role will work closely with our Personalised Marketing department and have specific responsibility for creating graphics for email and CRM campaigns, as well as paid and organic social media posts, display ads, banners and web content. The successful candidate will have demonstrable experience in designing for email and paid media channels (particularly paid social), or be willing to learn more on best practice and industry trends to become a subject matter expert in these channels.
While HTML knowledge is not essential, you will be required to work with marketing colleagues and external agencies to create designs and concepts that are suitable to be converted into responsive web and email graphics.
This role will be a fixed term contract for 12-months.

Role specific accountabilities: |

Design and build graphics and templates for email campaigns, in line with best practice for the channel, including responsive design, interactive elements, styling for different email clients and understanding the capabilities of HTML |

Design and build paid and organic social media posts, display ads, banners and web content, with a focus on performance marketing campaigns, planning workload to meet project deadlines and publishing schedules |

Turn creative concepts into build-ready emails, marketing banners and web page layouts, in line with brand guidelines |

Work with commercial partners to interpret partnership email briefs and convert into broadcast-ready designs, in line with Manchester City’s brand guidelines, making recommendations to grow engagement with partner campaigns |

Make recommendations for campaign ideas and design solutions in line with industry trends and best practice in design for email and other performance marketing and personalisation channels |

6 |
Work with external agencies and developers to ensure graphic concepts can be effectively converted into HTML, in line with brand guidelines and channel requirements and to help grow the impact of personalisation across the Club’s marketing assets |

Work with inter and intra-department colleagues to develop best practice guidelines and recommendations for high-impact design templates for performance and personalised marketing channels, which can be shared with and implemented by other stakeholders and CFG partners |
