Based at the Etihad Stadium, Manchester, this is a casual role for the 2026/27 season, offering the opportunity to become part of Manchester City’s matchday and events operation. You will play an important role in creating a safe, welcoming and enjoyable experience for supporters and visitors, while helping to deliver exceptional customer service across football fixtures and major events.

Within our Matchday and Events team, we help create memorable experiences for thousands of supporters and visitors throughout the season. Our stewarding team plays a vital role in maintaining a safe, friendly and welcoming environment, supporting the smooth delivery of football fixtures, concerts and major events across the Etihad Campus.

 

The Role

 

As a Matchday Steward, you will help create a safe and enjoyable environment for supporters, visitors and colleagues across matchdays and events. Working as part of a wider team, you will provide a visible and welcoming presence around the stadium while supporting the smooth operation of events and ensuring visitors receive a positive experience from arrival through to departure.

 

You will support crowd management, customer service and event operations across a variety of locations within the stadium, helping visitors with enquiries, providing guidance and contributing to a safe and inclusive environment. Through your professionalism and communication skills, you will play an important role in enhancing the overall matchday experience.

 

You will also have access to training and development opportunities throughout your time with the Club, with the potential to gain job-related qualifications and explore additional stewarding opportunities across the wider Etihad Campus.

⚽ NVQ Level 2 Certificate in Spectator Safety (or equivalent)

Recruitment Process

 

  • Interviews: Saturday 25 July 2026 or Sunday 26 July 2026
  • Induction and familiarisation session: Tuesday 11 August 2026 or Wednesday 13 August 2026
  • Successful applicants must be available to attend one of the induction dates.
  • The first fixture for successful applicants is expected to be the first or second home game of the 2026/27 season after 22 August 2026 (subject to change).
