Medical Coordinator

Location:

Manchester, GB

Full Time / Part Time:  Part Time
Contract Type:  Fixed Term

This part-time, 30 hours per week role offers the chance to shape and assure medical provision across our Manchester campus, covering Etihad Stadium, Joie Stadium and Co-op Live Arena. You will help make sure every football match, concert and major event is supported by proportionate, compliant and well-planned medical arrangements, with occasional attendance at live events to review delivery and keep standards working in practice.

Who We Are

City Football Group is the world’s leading private owner and operator of football clubs, with teams across the globe connected by a shared belief in doing things differently. Alongside our clubs, we invest in football-related businesses and build partnerships that help the game, and the communities around it, thrive. Everything we do is guided by our purpose: empowering better lives through football. Rooted in more than a century of “City” football, we are proud of the role our clubs play locally and globally, creating positive impact on and off the pitch.

This role sits at the centre of a busy, multi-venue environment, working closely with safety, event operations, medical suppliers and colleagues across City Football Group and Oak View Group. It is a chance to help keep people safe across a wide range of events while supporting a culture of consistency, assurance and continuous improvement.

The Role

You will lead the planning and coordination of medical provision across the campus, bringing together venue needs, supplier capability and regulatory requirements to make sure arrangements are appropriate for each event. The focus is on proportionate advice, clear governance and practical assurance, rather than a one-size-fits-all model.

A key part of the role is maintaining the Medical Needs Assessment, shaping event medical plans and chairing the Medical Coordination Group so that risks, actions and responsibilities are clear. You will also help ensure facilities, equipment, training and operating procedures remain fit for purpose across both event days and quieter periods, supporting consistency across the wider campus.

Working closely with suppliers, safety teams, emergency services and internal stakeholders, you will support procurement, deployment, audits, exercises and post-event reviews. The role includes occasional attendance at live events to review arrangements on the ground and keep medical response standards consistent across the campus.

What You’ll Bring

Significant experience in pre-hospital emergency care or a senior clinical role, ideally with experience of event or mass-gathering environments.
Current professional registration as a paramedic or equivalent registered healthcare professional, plus a full UK driving licence.
Experience advising on, planning or reviewing medical provision, with a sound understanding of the Green Guide, event safety and multi-agency working.

Ability to assess risk, maintain accurate records and use information to support compliant planning and assurance.

Clear communication and stakeholder management skills, with confidence working across suppliers, venue teams and emergency services.

Experience chairing or contributing to governance groups, exercises, audits or incident reviews in a busy operational setting.
