Part Qualified Management Accountant

Location:

Manchester, GB

Full Time / Part Time:  Full Time
Contract Type:  Permanent

Based at City Football Academy in Manchester, this permanent full-time role is an important part of City Football Group’s Finance function. You will help prepare accurate and timely management accounts, support financial reporting and analysis, and contribute to robust controls and continuous improvement across the wider finance operation.

Who We Are

Founded in 2013, City Football Group is the world’s leading private owner and operator of football clubs, with teams across the globe connected by a shared belief in doing things differently. Alongside our clubs, we invest in football-related businesses and build partnerships that help the game, and the communities around it, thrive. Everything we do is guided by our purpose: empowering better lives through football. Rooted in more than a century of “City” football, we are proud of the role our clubs play locally and globally, creating positive impact on and off the pitch.

Within our Finance team, we support City Football Group through clear reporting, careful control and practical financial insight. Our work helps the business understand performance, strengthen decision-making and maintain confidence in the integrity of financial information across the organisation.

You will also provide management accounting support to the wider Finance department, including financial analysis to support decision-making and assistance during audit activity. Alongside the day-to-day cycle, you will look for ways to improve the management accounts process, strengthen internal controls and support the ongoing optimisation of the Group’s finance system.

Working closely with stakeholders across the business, you will build trusted relationships, respond to requests with clarity and contribute to ad hoc projects when needed. This is a role where care, consistency and collaboration all matter, and where your work will help keep the finance function accurate, reliable and well connected.

  • Experience in management accounting, financial reporting or a similar finance role
  • Ability to present financial information clearly and effectively to a range of stakeholders
  • Analytical skills and the ability to understand and resolve complex issues
  • Commercial awareness and an interest in how organisations operate and use resources
  • Comfortable working in a busy environment and adapting to changing priorities
  • Confident use of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
