Based in Manchester, this role plays a key part in shaping and delivering people priorities across the business. Acting as a trusted adviser to leaders, you will help turn people priorities into practical action, strengthen capability and support organisational performance through credible,  focused partnering.

This role sits at the heart of that work, partnering with leaders, shaping people plans and helping to create an inclusive, high-performing environment where teams thrive. 


 
The Role


 
In this role you will partner with leaders within the business to deliver people plans aligned to business priorities. You will be a trusted adviser to senior leaders, building strong relationships, coaching managers and providing clear, pragmatic advice that helps people decisions translate into better business outcomes.


 
A central part of the role is turning people priorities into delivery. You will help shape and implement activity across organisational effectiveness, talent, succession, capability, engagement and workforce planning, while also supporting cyclical processes such as performance, pay review and succession planning. The role requires sound judgement, clear priorities and the ability to move confidently between longer-term thinking and day-to-day people matters.


 
You will work closely with the People Business Partnering Team and centres of expertise such as Reward, Employee Relations, EDI and Talent Acquisition to implement the People strategy.. The role also uses data, insight and continuous improvement to  spot opportunities and strengthen ways of working.


 
What You’ll Bring


•    Proven experience operating as a generalist HR or People Business Partner, owning relationships within a defined business area.
•    Experience partnering with Directors, Heads of Department or similarly senior operational leaders.
•    Experience delivering cyclical people activities such as performance management, talent reviews and pay reviews.
•    Experience coaching managers and influencing decision-making across a broad range of people matters.
•    Experience supporting organisational change and implementing people initiatives in a complex environment.
•    Experience in role modelling  equality, diversity and inclusion embedding through everyday business partnering.
