Our Story

Manchester City Women is an English football club initially founded by City in the Community in 1988. Relaunched by a formal partnership with Manchester City FC, MCWFC entered the FA Women’s Super League and professionalised in 2014. 
 

Success has followed in not only the FAWSL but also the Women’s FA Cup and Continental Tyres League Cup, while the team has regularly competed in the UEFA Women’s Champions League. ​

The team plays its home fixtures at Joie Stadium, a 7,000 capacity arena. The stadium sits on the wider Etihad Campus, which also encompasses the City Football Academy, a state-of-the-art training and development facility that houses its women’s, men’s and academy teams. ​

 

Our Winning Team

 

The role holder will produce video for the women’s team, from ideation to publishing, across all channels, training, matchdays, pitcam and more. The Women’s Producer role sits within the Features Team and when not working on women’s projects, assists on other wider team projects.

Your Impact

  1. Create quality videos for Manchester City’s women’s team, capturing the excitement and skill of some of the best players in the world.
  2. Create videos specifically for social channels, engaging with a wide audience.
  3. Create features for YouTube, City+, and Website, showcasing the talent and stories of the women’s team.
  4. Liaise between key stakeholders from Football, Marketing, Social and Video teams to ensure seamless production and distribution of content.
  5. Collaborate with coaches and players to capture behind-the-scenes footage, providing fans with an exclusive look into the team’s preparations and off-field activities.
  6. Stay updated with the latest video production trends and technologies, continuously bringing fresh and innovative ideas to enhance the team’s video content and engagement across all platforms.
     

What we are looking for

Essential

  • Love for video creation and creativity
  • Proficient with Sony Cine line of cameras, FX3 and FX6 in particular
  • Proficient with Adobe Creative Cloud,
  • Premiere Pro in particular
  • Ability to work weekends (Matchdays)

 

 

Desirable

  • Knowledge and passion for women’s football
  • Knowledge and passion for social video and social trends
  • Previous work at a Football Club
  • Holds a clean UK driving license
