Production Runner

Based in Manchester, this full-time role, working 37.5 hours per week, supports the production operations behind Manchester City's daily video, live, digital and long-form content. Working predominantly on-site, with occasional remote working where possible, you will help keep shoots moving by preparing and maintaining camera kit, supporting filming activity, moving equipment and assisting with media-management workflows across the Content and Video teams and other operational requirements.

Within our Content Team, we create and deliver video, live, digital and broadcast content that connects Manchester City with Fans across our platforms. This role supports the production professionals behind that output, helping the Live Team, Video Team and wider content functions deliver shoots, matchday activity and production workflows with care, organisation and attention to detail.

 

The Role

 

As Production Runner, you will provide practical and technical support across the production operations that enable Manchester City content to be planned, captured and delivered. You will help the team work efficiently by preparing, maintaining and testing camera equipment, production kits and the technical kit room, making sure colleagues have what they need for shoots and live content activity.

You will support a wide range of production requirements, from setting up filming equipment and moving kit between locations to assisting talent, guests and production teams during shoots. The role also contributes to clipping, video metadata and media-management workflows, helping content move smoothly through each stage of production.

This is an opportunity to build experience in a professional sports media environment, working closely with experienced production colleagues across live, video and content teams. You will be part of a fast-moving setting where organisation, practical problem-solving and a collaborative approach help bring high-quality content to Fans every day.

 

What You’ll Bring

 

Experience maintaining, preparing or using camera equipment and production kit.

Knowledge of filming techniques, production workflows and media asset management.

Ability to support shoots through equipment setup, kit movement and practical production assistance.

Good organizational skills, with the ability to manage equipment, priorities and requests across multiple teams.

A collaborative approach, with curiosity about video content, production trends and ways to improve day-to-day processes.
