Real Estate PMO Manager

Location:

Manchester, GB

Full Time / Part Time:  Full Time
Contract Type:  Permanent

Based in Manchester on a hybrid, permanent basis, this senior PMO role will bring structure, governance and executive clarity to a global real estate and infrastructure portfolio. You will work directly with project directors and regional leads across Europe and the rest of the world, turning complex project, risk and finance information into insight the business can use to steer delivery with confidence.

Who We Are

Founded in 2013, City Football Group is the world’s leading private owner and operator of football clubs, with teams across the globe connected by a shared belief in doing things differently. Alongside our clubs, we invest in football-related businesses and build partnerships that help the game, and the communities around it, thrive. Everything we do is guided by our purpose: empowering better lives through football. Rooted in more than a century of “City” football, we are proud of the role our clubs play locally and globally, creating positive impact on and off the pitch.

Our Global Real Estate team enables the planning and delivery of capital and infrastructure projects across the City Football Group network. The PMO sits close to senior project directors helping bring together information from different territories, systems and delivery teams so there is one clear view of progress, risk and governance across the portfolio.

The Role

This is a hands-on PMO position with real influence across a complex infrastructure portfolio. Alongside consolidating reporting: you will help shape how information is understood, how methodology is optimized and how governance is adhered to.  You will use your experience in construction or real estate development to add insight and impact.

Working with project directors, project teams, and external project consultants, you will bring together data in standardised reporting templates, controls and meeting rhythms, while keeping a close eye on risks, actions and delivery issues.

The role will suit someone who wants to stay close to live projects, understand the detail and turn technical information into something clear, actionable and decision-ready. You will use your judgement to spot gaps, improve ways of working and support a PMO environment that sets the pace for delivery rather than reflecting it.

What You’ll Bring

  • A recognised PMO, project management or project controls qualification, or equivalent senior experience, with the ability to interpret complex information and present it clearly for senior audiences.
  • Significant PMO, project controls or portfolio management experience within construction or a real estate environment.
  • Proven ability to work with project directors and senior stakeholders, optimizing methodology, embedding governance and supporting delivery risks.
  • Experience producing board, finance or executive reporting, with confidence turning technical detail into clear, structured insight.
  • Strong understanding of risk management, portfolio controls, templates and standardised reporting processes.
  • Comfort working across different technologies, organisational systems and consultants, with good judgement and attention to detail.

Why Choose Us

As part of our team, you will receive 26 days’ annual leave plus a day off for your birthday, private healthcare and dental cover, and an annual discretionary bonus. You will also have access to a Health Cash Plan, Employee Assistance Programme with 24/7 GP support, and a company pension and life assurance.

Manchester-based employees also benefit from free on-site parking, complimentary breakfast and lunch, and access to a range of sports and leisure clubs.
