Purpose:
The Senior Commercial Strategy Manager will lead the operational delivery of new commercial opportunities and maximise existing fan yields to increase incremental revenue for MCFC.  They will be responsible for identifying, developing and delivering new innovative products and services for the Ticketing, Hospitality, Stadium Tours, Non-matchday events and Local Partnership sales teams to sell to new and existing fans across the business.

Accountabilities with Key Outcomes:

Undertake research across a wide variety of industries and analysis of our own customer profiles and sales data to spot market trends.

Identify specific new commercial opportunities that MCFC can deliver, the department can sell and build compelling business cases for board approval.

Ensure any newly identified or developments to existing commercial opportunities maximise the fan experience.

Lead the day-to-day project management of approved department opportunities and bring these products and services to market.

Represent the department in larger scale developments to ensure our objectives align with the wider business.

Develop new systems and processes to streamline the journey of the department’s customers.

Through the same analytical process of bringing new opportunities to market there must be a focus on developing existing products and services to drive improvements in fan yield.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:  

Essential

  • Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively
  • Entrepreneurial and analytical approach to business
  • Strong relationship builder with the ability to confidently engage both internal and external stakeholders
     

Desirable

  • Familiar with Sport/Football/Hospitality products and services
  • Sophisticated presentation skills to articulate MCFC strategies
