Role specific purpose:     


The role will manage the two City Studio facilities, supporting the wider Digital Media and content teams in delivering, the very best video, audio and stills content, and manage internal stakeholders and external clients/partners who will also be looking to produce their own content in this studio.


Working closely with Creative, Digital, Live, Broadcast and AV teams - this person will be key to the studio’s early success in line with wider functional plans and objectives.


Role specific accountabilities:


Manage the technical set up of the Studio including Studio set, Studio lighting, furniture, AV and all camera and audio equipment across Manchester City’s 2 x studio areas.


Identify, understand and incorporate new trends within the changing landscape of studio production, working closely with the content teams to share and develop new ideas.


Create and maintain a working schedule of the studios that will incorporate all formats that are produced from the studios, including; Rigging, Studio preparation, AV and lighting support.


Act as point of contact for any technical issues during live broadcast; able to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with the shortest amount of disruption.


Implement best practice across operating systems within the studios and share across production team within the Digital Media team applying technical expertise to ensure high quality output and relevant direction.


Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, influencing projects output through the appliance of strong technical knowledge and building rational arguments


Report back to the Production team key updates on a weekly / monthly basis evidencing milestones are met, and projects are delivered on time and within budget

Role specific knowledge, skills and experience:


  • Managing the Day-to-day technical operations of a TV/Video/Photography Studio.
  • Scheduling studio productions,

including Rigging, Preparation, AV and lighting support.

  • Instilling best practices for all colleagues who work in the studio.
  • Communicating with internal stakeholders and external suppliers in maintaining the very best standards.


  • Thorough understanding of lighting, camera and audio equipment
  • Planning, scheduling and maintaining a highly professional working space
  • Studio lighting and chroma green production


  • Knowledge and experience in live broadcasting infrastructure.
  • Operating cameras, lighting and audio equipment in a live and creative environment.
  • Spanish/French language Work in Sport Experience in Esports
