Role specific purpose:     

Purpose:  As a Systems Manager, you will use design new IT solutions, modify, enhance, support or adapt existing systems and integrate new features or improvements, all with the aim of improving business efficiency and productivity.

Your role is to liaise between and report to internal and 3rd party stakeholders throughout the development process.  You will conduct business case analysis and agree project timelines for proposed solutions. You will implement solutions and support the customer with rollout, adoption and change management.  You will be required to document all work and conduct knowledge transfer sessions with colleagues.

Role specific accountabilities:


Work as a Solutions Architect with internal stakeholders/3rd party vendors; to identify requirements, assess, implement, and develop potential solutions for both technical and business suitability


Manage relationships with internal customers and provide on-going support for multiple areas of the business


Project Management – mapping out tasks and overseeing implementation of a new solution ensuring agreed deadlines with internal stakeholders are met


Subject matter expert and escalation point for existing systems (Azure, SharePoint and Teams)


Supporting internal stakeholders on change control and system updates


Producing and maintaining user and technical documentation for implemented/existing systems

Role specific knowledge, skills, and experience:  


  • Application/Software Lifecycle Management
  • Microsoft 365 – Administration of Azure, SharePoint and Teams
  • Relationship Management (Internal and 3rd Party Vendors
  • Experience in an IT/Application Support Role
  • Problem-solver
  • Friendly, approachable personality
  • Self-motivated
  • Ability to work independently and part of a team
  • GCSE Maths and English Grade A* to C

  • Knowledge of Information Security Assessment/Cyber Security
  • Microsoft Power Platform
  • API’s and Integrations
  • Knowledge of Finance, Procurement, Travel, Communications, Legal and Intranet applications
  • Bachelor’s Degree
