Based in Perth, Australia, this casual role gives you the chance to deliver engaging football education sessions for children across the Manchester City Perth Football Education Program. You will help create a positive, inclusive and development-focused environment where young players can enjoy the game, build confidence and learn through high-quality coaching.

Within the Manchester City Perth Football Education Program, we deliver football experiences that are welcoming, well-structured and enjoyable for children and families across Western Australia. Our coaches play an important part in bringing the Club's philosophy to life through sessions that support confidence, learning and a love of the game.

 

The Role

 

This role sits at the heart of the Perth program and is focused on delivering high-quality football education sessions for children in a way that feels inclusive, fun and purposeful. You will help young players develop their skills, enjoy their football and feel supported in an environment that reflects Manchester City's coaching values.

 

You will plan and deliver age-appropriate sessions aligned to the Manchester City coaching philosophy and curriculum, working across multiple venues in Perth as required. Day to day, you will keep sessions organised, safe and engaging, while also supporting player progress through simple reporting, reflection and feedback.

 

You will work closely with the Head Coach and wider programme team to maintain consistent standards and a positive experience for children, parents and carers. This role also involves communicating clearly with families, contributing to programme improvement and taking part in ongoing learning and development as the programme grows.

 

What You’ll Bring

 

⚽ A recognised coaching qualification, with a minimum UEFA C or AFC C Licence.

⚽ Experience coaching children or young players in a grassroots, community or football education setting.

⚽ Ability to plan and deliver inclusive, engaging sessions that support enjoyment, learning and confidence.

⚽ Clear and effective communication skills when working with children, parents, carers and colleagues.

⚽ Ability to work flexibly across afternoons, evenings and weekends, and to travel between Perth venues as required.

⚽ A valid Western Australian Working With Children Check, or willingness to obtain one, together with the ability to work exclusively for Manchester City in Western Australia and not with other football or coaching organisations while in this role.
